Make the Most of Park City’s 4th of July Fun!

Each 4th of July, Park City celebrates in patriotic style and 2023 is shaping up to be no exception to the rule. Those that head here in July will be just in time for some family-friendly and exciting Independence Day celebrations you won’t want to miss. Things kick off with the annual Park City 4th of July pancake breakfast at 7:00 am followed by the 5K and fun run at 8:00 am. This event is sponsored and presented by Park City Ski & Snowboard at Cole Sport and the race begins at 1615 Park Avenue. The race first started in Park City on the 4th of July in the 1980s and continues to be a fan-favorite holiday activity in the area. Proceeds go to support youth athletes in the Park City area and the fun run is open to racers of all ages. Registration is $30 for kids 11 and under and $50 for adults. Registration is open until July 3, 2023, at 5:00 pm, and do keep in mind that same-day registration isn’t provided. Everyone who signs up gets a race shirt that can be picked up at Cole Sport prior to the 4th as well.

Following the holiday 5K, the 4th of July fun continues with a day filled with activities, events, and performances in Park City. The annual 4th of July parade kicks off at 11:00 am on Main Street and is presented by Historic Park City Alliance. This major city attraction is always packed with spectators so it’s worth your while to head over early to get a great spot. The route begins at the top of Main Street and heads down 9th Street. After the parade, guests can head over to City Park where a variety of refreshments and snacks are waiting to be enjoyed. There are also family-friendly activities on-site as well as community rugby and volleyball games going.
