On average, winter temperatures in Park City linger around 35 degrees Fahrenheit in the daytime and can drop as low as 14 degrees in the evening hours between the months of December and February. Keep in mind, parking is often limited in Old Town with its historic mining-era homes and narrow streets, so we typically recommend limiting the number of vehicles for your group, and taking advantage of Park City’s Free Transit system, with the main Transit Hub in the middle of Main Street to take you to all resorts and throughout all of Park City!

DEER VALLEY

For families of skiers, staying in the Deer Valley area is quite convenient as we have a variety of properties that give you direct ski-in/ski-out access or just a short walk or complimentary shuttle ride to the slopes at the luxurious Deer Valley Resort. Enjoy 360º Wasatch views, a little more solitude and

oftentimes more spacious properties for your group to spread out, in this resort setting. Keep in mind, Deer Valley is a skiers-only resort, so if there are snowboarders in your group you may consider a stay in Old Town or the Canyons area for quicker access to the slopes!

CANYONS

If you’re looking for easy access to the slopes at Canyons Village, look no further than our Abode properties on the Canyons side of town. WHAT TO DO

If you are looking for activities to do other than the obvious we’ve compiled a list of our “Top 10 Favorite Things to do During the Winter that is NOT Skiing and Snowboarding”.

SNOWSHOEING

Rent a pair of snowshoes from White Pine Touring and take them out on one of the many trails around Park City to enjoy some winter wandering. If you don’t feel comfortable going out on your own, book a guided snowshoes tour with White Pine.

SNOW BIKING

Another exhilarating activity to try this winter is Fat Biking. Rent bikes at White Pine Touring and head over to Round Valley. Those summer dirt trails are now covered in snow and are groomed for a different kind of biking experience

STROLL HISTORIC MAIN STREET

Spend an afternoon perusing the shops on Main Street. Grab a cocktail at the No Name Saloon or have a bite to eat at one of our fantastic dining establishments.

SNOWMOBILING

Get your heart rate pumping by joining a snowmobile tour. Get whisked away into the backcountry and enjoy the cold winter air on your face as you explore a little deeper into the mountains.

BACKCOUNTRY SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING

TUBING AT WOODWARD

This classic family winter tradition has now become easier with recent upgrades to our tubing hill including the addition of a new magic carpet and an increased number of lanes for tubing! Woodward Park City offers snow tubing with conveniences to produce nothing but smiles for the whole family.

FITNESS AND WELLNESS

For those who want a break from the slopes, but want to keep active, Park City offers a variety of fitness centers with drop-in options.  Swimming, tennis, spin classes, or time spent with a personal trainer are all great ways to exercise inside.  Follow these up with time in a steam shower, or, if you’re in need of deep relaxation, treat yourself to a day at the spa.  Or you can hire your very own personal trainer like Stoke Coach Rachel Friedman Elberts to come to your house or meet you at a trailhead and create a custom outdoor fitness experience.

DOG SLEDDING
